The Cloud
The Cloud is a unique aquatic center near North Avenue Beach in Chicago, with two towers connected by a floating level. One tower offers rock climbing, while the other features diving, creating a distinctive experience where visitors can climb up and dive down. The third level provides spectator seating and a rooftop green space.
The project blurs the boundaries between program and circulation, allowing for ascending and descending through activity. Even the stepped seating of the connective cloud allows for program and vertical movement to be combined.
